We make life a little easier for families impacted by disabilities.

And that means all of us — including our kids — get to enjoy a more supportive world. Win-win. Here’s how:

Housing

When you’re traveling for care for your kids, insurance doesn’t cover the cost of travel or the cost of an AirBnb. Intensive treatments are often three weeks at a time, and kids benefit from multiple treatments per year. That gets really expensive. So expensive that a lot of families can’t afford to do it.

We provide free, temporary housing for families traveling to Gainesville, GA to receive care for their child. When families stay at Molly’s House, they get a built-in community (if they want one), a fully equipped kitchen, and a place they can temporarily call home.

We hope Molly’s House is the first of many like it. We know of other treatment hubs throughout the U.S. where families like ours often travel for care for their kids with disabilities. We want those families to feel seen, supported, and welcomed. But we can’t do it without your help.

Community

Being the caregiver of a child with a disability can be lonely. Other families don’t get what it’s like for your day-to-day life to include doctor’s visits, researching treatment options, applying for grants, and needing to take activities at a slower pace.

It’s important to feel seen and understood. Community keeps us going. It reminds us that we’re not in it alone.

Love Your Story puts on quarterly meetups for moms and caregivers of kids with disabilities: meetups where caregivers can show up and feel seen. No need to worry about people not getting it. No need to explain things. These meetups are opportunities to connect with other families who get it.

Education

Kids are the smartest, most eager learners we know. And in 20 years, when they’re grown up, the world can look a lot different than it does now. But what it looks like depends on what we teach them.

Kids can learn…

-that people with disabilities are awesome, capable individuals

-about different types of disabilities, and how they impact families

-how to create spaces with everyone’s belonging in mind

We’re starting with a Disability 101 newsletter for K-5 students in Gainesville, GA. Eventually, we want to bring disability education to communities everywhere.
